ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Medina Police have arrested to people in relation to a stabbing in the canal basin Saturday. On November 2, Medina Police responded Medina Hospital for the report of two people stabbed. According to MPD, the stabbing took place in the canal basin just before midnight on November 1. Medina Police investigating stabbing in canal basin MPD says the two people were transported to the hospital by private vehicle and were later transferred to ECMC. Both people have since been released from the hospital. Edward Gibson, age 42, and Deon Jackson, age 24, were both arrested by Medina Police in relation to this stabbing. Both men were arraigned on November 5. Orders of protection were issued for both individuals. Medina Police note that it is believe that Gibson and Jackson were known to the victims, and this was not a random incident. Both Gibson and Jackson were charged with Assault (1st). Gibson was held on no bail, and Jackson has bail set at $100,000.
