New Mexico State Parks offer free entry, camping to veterans on Veterans Day

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – In recognition of Veterans Day on Nov. 11, the New Mexico State Parks Division will waive any day-use and overnight camping fees for New Mexico veterans, active military, National Guard and their dependents.

“It is our privilege to say thank you to our veterans and to let them know we are grateful for their sacrifices and accomplishments,” said State Parks Director Toby Velasquez in a news release.
In partnership with the New Mexico Department of Veterans Services, the State Parks Division also honors New Mexico veterans who have a 50%, or greater, service-connected disability with an annual day-use pass and one three-day camping pass per year.
