A high temperature of 73° was reached for Providence Tuesday, making it the warmest presidential election on record!
The previous was 1936, where the mercury reached 72°.
Things get even a little warmer on Wednesday, where we could tie the daily record of 75. The day will be dry with a mix of sun and clouds.
A cold front will pass Wednesday night and signal gradually cooling air through the end of the week, but Thursday and Friday will still be in the 60s with fair weather.
Temperatures return to normal over the weekend with highs in the 50s. Dry weather continues, but we do have a chance for widespread showers on Monday, albeit light rain.
Drought conditions are expected to persist through Mid-November across New England.
