While 2024 has been one of the biggest years for absentee voting, these people were excited to cast their ballots in person.
"Just, I guess, kind of starting the tradition with her," Shelbi Kielhold said.
While certain issues drove some people to the polls.
"I came out mostly to vote on the referendum," Michael Metzger said.
"Some values that are really close to our family and just thinking about her future," Kielhold said.
Others were just there so their voices could be heard.
"The push for hearing your voice regardless if you win or not. It still means that your voice is heard and you have a reason to then move forward after that, whether it's good or bad," Janssen said.
No matter why people came to the polls, they understand the importance of casting their ballots.
"I think that this election is everyone feels really passionately about it and it's a very important turning point in our country. And it's really important for us all to vote," Carolan said.
