The Nebraska men’s basketball team open the season on Monday night with an 87-67 win over Texas-Rio Grande Valley at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Brice Williams led four players in double-figures with 27 points for the Huskers. The Huskers are back in action Saturday night at home against Bethune-Cookman. Texas Rio Grande Valley heads to Omaha to play 15th-ranked Creighton tomorrow night.
HUSKER WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: Markowski Gets School Career Double-Double Record, as No. 23 Nebraska Defeats Omaha
The 23rd ranked Nebraska women’s basketball team started the season on Monday afternoon with an 88-48 win over Omaha, behind Alexis Markowski’s school career record of her 41st double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Markowski passed former Husker greats Kelsey Griffin and Jordan Hooper for career double-doubles. The Huskers return to action Saturday afternoon hosting Southeastern Louisiana.
HUSKER FOOTBALL: Kickoff Time Set for Nebraska vs. USC
The November 16 Nebraska football game at USC will be a 3pm kickoff on FOX. That’s according to the Big Ten Conference in a Monday news release.
COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL: Nebraska Stays at No. 2, Creighton Moves Up a Spot
This week’s AVCA Top 25 rankings still has the Nebraska Volleyball team ranked No. 2 while picking up 19 first place votes. Creighton moves up a spot to No. 5, their highest ranking in program history.
