MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) - After spending 12 years in the NFL, 9 in Green Bay, former Packers and Super Bowl XLV champion John Kuhn found a way a part of the game by becoming an on-air radio personality in Wisconsin.
In a series of posts made on X by the former fullback himself, Kuhn has been released from Milwaukee's 97.3 The Game and from iHeartMedia after being on-air for the last 4 1/2 years.
In the 4 1/2 years Kuhn was with 97.3, he says he first started doing sports radio during Covid and started reviewing dive bars in a segment called "Fullback Dive Bars" on 97.3's Nine2Noon with John Kuhn show.

As part of the announcement of his release, Kuhn took the time to thank those who gave him a chance to be on and grow on-air, co-workers, and listeners, even going as far as to say that talking to the "Nooners" (listeners of the Nine2Noon show) on-air made him feel like he was talking to his own family.
As for what's next for the former Super Bowl champion, Kuhn says it is time for some reflection and self-scouting.
I’ve been cut before (5 times in fact) and some of the best of me came after those cuts. Just like the Packers on the bye, it is time for some reflection and self scouting and I WILL be better on the other side.
Kuhn spent one year in Pittsburgh before coming to Green Bay for nine years and finishing the last two years of his career in New Orleans.
During his nine seasons in Green Bay, chants of "Kuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhnnnnnnnnn" could frequently be heard throughout Lambeau as he powered his way to 601 rushing yards, 557 receiving yards, 15 rushing touchdowns, and 8 receiving touchdowns.
