Those who voted Tuesday talked to 17 News about why they wanted to be part of the election process.
"I mean it's America's future in our hands. I think it's a very important time, to come out and vote,” Jeffrank Solorzano said. “Make sure whatever side you're on, that you're supporting it and making sure that you do your civic duty."
Other voters talked about who they voted for and why.
"We just need change. I want Trump from here up, I want his brain and his business sense. If you put duct tape over his mouth it'd be great, so that he wouldn't say some things that he says,” Connie Mead, a Republican voter, said. “But he's really got a good business sense and I think he'll show us, he'll put us in the right direction. We need tariffs again; we need our government in order again."

Other voters took an opposing view.
“I feel like her intentions are as clear as possible, in terms of Donald Trump's intentions, not necessarily clear, he gives a lot of green lights to things he should give red lights to,” Davide Sicairos, a Democratic voter, said. “And Kamala Harris has been in office longer than he has, she's been in politics longer than he has, so I just trust her more."
Just a friendly reminder, the polls close at 8 p.m.
