BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- This Saturday offers the biggest pet adoption event of the year for Kern County. Several organizations, including the city and county shelters, are hosting the event. For some of these dogs, being adopted saves them from a death sentence. Election Day: Kern residents share why they chose to vote The county euthanizes hundreds of dogs a month due to pet over-population, but this Mega Adoption event can help change that statistic. Stop by the Park at River Walk this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to meet all the adoptable dogs, cats and more.
