BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- This Saturday offers the biggest pet adoption event of the year for Kern County. Several organizations, including the city and county shelters, are hosting the event. For some of these dogs, being adopted saves them from a death sentence. Stop by the Park at River Walk this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to meet all the adoptable dogs, cats and more.
