BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A Bakersfield man on Tuesday was sentenced to two years in prison for attacking his roommate and her friend in June, according to court records. Ryan Clagg, 32, pleaded no contest last month to a felony assault charge. Other charges, including attempted murder and mayhem, were dismissed. On the morning of June 19, police arrested Clagg after arriving at a home on Whitlock Street to find him assaulting a woman, according to court filings. A 911 caller reported Clagg was possibly under the influence of PCP, a hallucinogenic drug commonly referred to as angel dust. She said he chased her to the backyard and wrapped a forearm around her neck, choking her. She got away but Clagg tackled and again choked her. A friend of the roommate pulled Clagg off her, she said according to the filings. Clagg then chased the friend, who said he pulled her hair and gouged an eye.
