BOSTON (WWLP) - Incumbent Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren is running for a third term in the U.S. Senate this year and is being challenged by Republican John Deaton. Who is on the Massachusetts ballot? Warren was first elected in 2012 and re-elected in 2018 and is one of the leading voices in the progressive wing of the party. She was an unsuccessful candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020. Deaton is a lawyer, author, and U.S. Marine Corps veteran who has ties to the cryptocurrency industry, of which Warren has been critical. Deaton won a three-way Republican primary in September. Sen. Elizabeth Warren and John Deaton debate in Springfield U.S. Senate: Warren vs. Deaton State Senate Election State Senate: Mark vs. Rosa Incumbent Democrat Paul Mark is running for a second term representing the Berkshire, Hampden, Franklin, and Hampshire districts in the state senate. He was first elected to the state senate in 2022 after serving in the state house for years.  He is being challenged by Republican David Rosa, an Air Force Veteran who lives in Dighton. This district includes all of Berkshire County, as well as western portions of Hampden, Hampshire, and Franklin County. State Senate: Fattman vs. Allard In the Worcester and Hampden State Senate race, Incumbent Republican Senator Ryan Fattman is seeking a sixth term in office. Fattman is one of only four Republicans in the 40-member Senate. He is being challenged by Democrat Anthony JM Allard, a union construction worker from Monson. The District includes Brimfield, Holland, Monson, and Wales. State Senate: Durant vs. Dibb In the Worcester and Hampshire state senate district, Republican Peter Durant is challenged by Democrat Sheila Dibb. Durant was elected in a special election in November of 2023. Dibb is a former member of the Rutland Select Board. She was a late entry into the race but secured a spot on the ballot through a write-in campaign on the day of the state primary.  The district is located almost entirely in Worcester County but does include the town of Ware.
