RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The City of Richmond announced that its Emergency Operations Center (EOC) has been activated on Tuesday, Nov. 5 -- Election Day -- as a proactive and precautionary measure. Although there is no specific or immediate threat to election integrity, according to officials, the EOC will help city agencies collaborate at a centralized location. The center will also help with coordination of resources, communication and action plan implementation if disruptions or problems should occur.
