What to know before voting in Missouri on Election Day
Nov 05, 2024
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Election day is officially underway on both sides of the state line.
After months of endless campaign ads, we've made it to election day. Polls in Missouri are now open and will stay open until 7 p.m.
Here’s what to expect when voting in Kansas
Do not be surprised to see some locations with lines well after 7 p.m. If you are a voter - do not worry. You will be able to cast your vote if you are in line by the 7 p.m. deadline.
It is important to know if you are at the correct polling location. You don't want to wait in line to be told you are not where you need to be.
Find your polling place by going to the Missouri Secretary of State website. Under the election/voting tab - type in your name, birthday, home county and the last four digits of your social security number.

Do not forget to have a valid ID on you. Examples include a Missouri driver's license, a Missouri nondriver's license, a U.S. passport or a military ID.
If you are registered but don't have a valid ID, you get a blue provisional ballot.
Print and fill out a sample ballot to help minimize the time it takes you to vote. And in turn, minimize wait times.
