Marion County voting sites run low on election ballots

CLERMONT, Ind. — At least one Marion County polling location has run out of election ballots Tuesday as local officials rework the site restocking system.
The polling location at the Clermont Lions Club in Clermont briefly ran out of ballots around noon Tuesday, with over a dozen people left in line. Marion County Clerk Dan Goldblatt confirmed that the location was out of ballots "for under five minutes."
"The mechanic has arrived there I can confirm and delivered more ballots and to my knowledge that was the only site that ran out, but they were out for under five minutes," Goldblatt said around 12:30 p.m.
An anonymous poll worker at the location told FOX59/CBS4 that the site had requested more ballots an hour before running out. Goldblatt said that officials noted that ballots were not being restocked as efficiently as possible and that procedures have now been changed.
"We did notice that ballots were not being replaced as fast as we had liked and have changed our workflow to stay on top of that better," he said.
No other information was immediately provided. If you are at a polling location that is experiencing ballot shortages, email [email protected] with information.
As of 12 p.m. Tuesday, officials said that 111,000 Marion County residents have voted on Election Day.
