Suspect killed in deputyinvolved shooting in Greenville Co.

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) - One person is dead following a deputy-involved shooting early Tuesday morning in Greer.
The Greenville County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call Monday night before 10 p.m. regarding shots fired in the 3200 block of North Highway 101. Upon arrival, deputies learned that a resident fired at another person who lived in the same home.
The individual was reported not injured according to deputies.
During the investigation, it was reported that the suspect was armed and barricaded inside the home. Subsequently, SWAT and negotiation teams responded to the scene.
Around 12:30 a.m., during negotiating attempts, authorities said a shooting involving two deputies occurred.
The suspect was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The Greenville County Coroner's Office has not identified the individual at this time.
As standard with sheriff’s office protocol, the SC Law Enforcement Division (SLED) was requested to investigate the fatal shooting.
Both deputies will be placed on paid administrative leave according to the sheriff's office.
