SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Close to 150,000 people will be voting in person, along with between 400 to 500,000 people turning in their mail in ballot on the 5th. Here are a couple of rules of the road for in-person voting. It’s worth reminding people wearing election gear, you can get barred from the voting booth until you fix the problem. “Electioneering is prohibited, and when I say electioneering, that means showing the name or the likeness of a candidate or measure on the ballot,” said Cynthia Paes of the San Diego County Registrar. So, Trump or Harris Hats, shirts, sweatpants, or any item that expressly shows their faces or names will keep you from voting until logo is covered. “Politely go up to them and remind them of the rules and ask them if they could just remove that hat or cover it up if it’s a T-shirt,” Paes said. For those still holding their mail in ballot, you have not missed out. You can simply go to any of the drop 235 vote centers or any of the 150 drop boxes to drop off your ballot. If you still want to mail it in just make sure "it’s postmarked on or before Election Day,” Paes said. Do I need my driver’s license? “You do not need to show ID, that’s something you did during registration,” Paes said. You do not need to show ID, that is something you did during registration. You register with your driver’s license number or you social security number. So could someone pose as a legitimate voter, not likely said Paes, risking three years in jail and $25,000 in fines per offense? “I’ve never heard of it,” Paes said. Paes says these elections in San Diego are running as smoothly as they can, but the biggest test will be Nov. 5. “7am tomorrow and they will close at 8 p.m. If you are in line at 8 p.m. you will be able to cast your ballot,” Paes said.
