TOPEKA (KSNT) - With early voting now a wrap and election day upon us, local candidates are working hard to get those last-minute voters. Many of Tuesday, November 5, winners will join the lineup at the state capitol next session. Candidate Tyler Wible is one of the candidates for the Kansas Legislature. 27 News caught up with him today as he wrapped up campaigning ahead of the upcoming election.  City of Topeka invites community to weigh in on finances Wible is running for Senate District 19 against, opponent, Patrick Schmidt. With it being this late in the election, Wible tells 27 News there's not much you can do, as most voters have already made up their mind. Although, now he has started sending text messages as a last-minute effort.  "As a last-minute effort, we have gone to the text messaging, Wible said. "I haven't done it before, any point in the campaign. So, it's only been 'Hey this is Tyler Wible' you know 'get out to vote for me'. And then, now we are about to send one out that is, 'Hey make sure that you go out and Vote'. And 'here's a link to get you polling locations.'"  Wible's opponent, Patrick Schmidt originally agreed to speak with us for this story. However, he canceled at the last minute, saying he needed to continue campaigning.  For more local news, click here.
