BRISTOL, R.I. (WPRI) — An investigation is underway after a man was hit and killed by a pickup truck in Bristol Monday evening. Bristol Police Lt. Paul Medeiros told 12 News the 59-year-old Bristol man was hit on Metacom Avenue near Hopeworth Avenue. Medeiros said the man, who was pinned underneath the truck, was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
