Green Bay officials prepare for high voter turnout on Election Day

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Early voting has ended, and officials from the City of Green Bay and surrounding areas are preparing for Election Day on Tuesday.
"We had a really big showing for absentee voting or early voting. We have about 20,000 ballots returned, so I anticipate we may have 30,000 to 35,000 people at the polls tomorrow," Green Bay City Clerk Celestine Jeffreys said.

Polls will be open across Wisconsin from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. For those who still need to register, Jeffreys said voters can print and fill out the registration form at home to save time.
"For Election Day registration and voting, you'll need two different types of documents," she said. "If you have a current Wisconsin driver’s license with your current address, that can suffice for both registering and voting. If you don’t have one, you’ll need to bring a proof of residency document."
Wisconsin DMV locations will extend hours at customer service centers Monday and Tuesday until 6 p.m.
Jeffreys also advised voters to think ahead, explaining that the state voter database shows what’s on each person’s ballot, so decisions can be made before Election Day.

All election officials are working to make this election safe and secure. Jeffreys said remaining neutral at the polls is one way to help.
"Just be aware that not everyone shares your political beliefs, so come to the polling location politically neutral," she said. "American flags are absolutely fine! Some people are veterans, so they have their hats, but keep your political campaign wear at home."
