It's hard to believe, but Election Day is FINALLY upon us. Thankfully, after a very cold morning, the day should be very nice with lighter winds. Here's your "No Excuse Not to Vote 9 Hour Forecast!"
TONIGHT: KTSM has issued a Weather Authority Alert due to a very cold night and a Freeze Warning for much of Southern New Mexico. Slowly, the skies will clear, and the winds will die down. The NW winds will range from 10-30 mph but will turn to a light breeze in the morning hours. The low will drop to 36 at the airport, 33 in the Valley.
FORECAST: Tuesday will be sunny and much more pleasant with lighter winds. The SW winds will range from 5-20 mph, and the high will be 69. Wednesday will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy and windy with a high of 74. The SW winds will gust to near 25 mph by late evening. On Thursday, a significant winter-class low-pressure system moves into New Mexico. Expect cloudy skies, chilly winds, rain showers, and a high of 57. Friday will start out cloudy with rain showers and a chance of flurries up on Transmountain. By late afternoon, the skies will clear, but the high will only be 50. Saturday morning will clear and very cold with a low of 30. Saturday will be sunny with light winds and a high of 65.
