This inaugural program spans four to six weeks in Santa Fe and participants will work on a research project. The program runs during the summers of 2025 and 2026, between June 1 and August 31, with applications due by Jan. 17, 2025.
“We are thrilled to welcome researchers to engage with the museum’s collection and our community through this new summer fellowship program,” Museum of International Folk Art Executive Director Charlie Lockwood said in a news release. “Through their projects, fellowship participants will not only explore their own research interests, but also undoubtedly aid in advancing understanding, responsible cultural stewardship, and collaborative community-centered approaches to our work.”
Fellows will receive a $2,500 honorarium, travel reimbursement (up to $1,000), and additional stipends for lodging and living expenses. To learn more about the program, click here.
