Park City Performing Arts to hold fireside chat with Olympian Ted Ligety
Nov 04, 2024
Park City Performing Arts will host a fireside chat with Ted Ligety and host Tom Kelly on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. at the Eccles Center, 1750 Kearns Blvd.As a kid, Ted Ligety used to rip around Park City Mountain with his brother. And while he wasn’t one of the best on the Park City Ski Team, his work ethic earned him a forerunner spot at the 2002 Olympics.Four years later, he made the games himself, winning gold in the alpine combined at age 21. Ligety dominated giant slalom in his sport, winning five season titles. In 2013, he joined an elite group that won three World Championship gold medals. After failing to win a medal in 2010, he found redemption in 2014, taking giant slalom gold in one of the sport’s most talked-about second runs. Today, he’s a Deer Valley Resort ambassador, leading his family of young boys ripping around the mountain.Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available at showpass.com/behind-the-gold-with-ted-ligety.The post Park City Performing Arts to hold fireside chat with Olympian Ted Ligety appeared first on Park Record.
