PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- The Petersburg Bureau of Police has made an arrest for a weapons violation. At approximately 9:36 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30, Petersburg police were called to the 1200 block of Montgomery Avenue for a report regarding a gun being fired. (Courtesy of Petersburg Bureau of Police) A 26-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with reckless handling of a firearm. According to Petersburg police, it was discovered during the investigation that she fired 1 round in the air due to a disturbance in her yard. Petersburg police confirmed there were no injuries involved.
