Police searching for hitandrun driver who struck woman in Richmond crosswalk

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Police are searching for the driver who struck a woman in a Richmond crosswalk and fled the scene.
At about 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, officers with the Richmond Police Department were called to the intersection of South Robinson and West Main streets for report of a pedestrian hit by a car.
When they arrived, officers found a woman who had been hit while crossing westbound South Robinson Street in the crosswalk.
Investigators determined that a grey-colored vehicle hit the woman while attempting to turn left onto South Robinson Street. According to police, the driver then fled the scene without helping her.
"The victim had visible injuries and complained of pain, however, [she] declined to be transported to a local hospital by EMS," police said. "Her injuries are not considered to be life-threatening."
