BRISTOL, R.I. (WPRI) — An investigation is underway after a pedestrian was hit by a pickup truck Bristol Monday evening. Bristol Fire Chief Michael DeMello told 12 News the pedestrian was hit on Metacom Avenue near Hopeworth Avenue. DeMello said the pedestrian, who was pinned underneath the truck, suffered critical injuries. The victim was rushed to the hospital.
