RICHMOND, R.I. (WPRI) — The town of Richmond will be issuing a precautionary boil water advisory on Thursday. The town said there will be planned storage tank repairs that are required by the Rhode Island Department of Health. There is reportedly no known contamination. Letters and emails have been sent to water customers, and restaurants will also be contacted by the Health department. The town said the order will be in effect through at least Nov. 12, once the water is tested and safe to drink.
