(Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR Nov. 4)–A man was robbed of thousands of dollars of cash, after he was tackled and his wallet was spilled to the ground around 8am Sunday in the area of 8th and “R” Street. Lincoln Police say victim reported someone contacted him about his vehicle being involved in a crash and it needed to be towed. After he verified the vehicle was fine, the victim called the person making the claim, who said they were with Park and Go. Thomas says as the victim was going into his building, a man dressed in all black and tackled him from behind, with his wallet falling to the ground. The suspect ran north from the area on 8th Street. A female walked up to the victim as he was gathering his belongings and offered help, but she then picked up $2,000 to $3,000 in cash that spilled out of the man’s wallet and ran to a gray SUV and drove off heading south on 8th Street.
