LSU football plans to fix the running game ahead of rival Alabama game
Nov 04, 2024
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — LSU Football head coach Brian Kelly addressed LSU's lack of a running game, in recent weeks, ahead of the Tigers' matchup against Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday.
LSU failed to reach 100 yards on the ground in two of their last three games.
The latest came after LSU gave up a ten-point lead at Texas A&M and only rushed for 24 total yards on 23 attempts.
The Tigers now face an Alabama that, when at their best, likes to run the ball and keep it out of their opponent's possession. The Crimson Tide are third in the SEC in rushing offense.
On top of the matchup itself, a third loss for either team could be the eliminating factor for a chance at this year's College Football Playoff.
