Many probably noticed Gregg Popovich’s absence from the Spurs win over the Timberwolves on Saturday for what was reported as him feeling “under the weather”, and now we know that absence will continue for an indefinite period of time. According to Shams Charania of ESPN, Pop suffered a “health issue” before the game and will miss at least today and road Wednesday’s matches, if not more. There have been no further reports on what Pop is dealing with, but although he has always been private about his health, Johnson did mention after Saturday’s game that this is not a new or unknown issue for him.
