RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Southbound, a restaurant located off of Stony Point Road in Richmond's Southside, has announced that it will be closing on Saturday, Nov. 16. In a post on its Instagram page, the restaurant said that the reason for closing after ten years is because it was not able to negotiate a new lease with the owners of its space, which is adjacent to the Stony Point Road Trader Joe's. "You all have been with us through thick and thin, and we sincerely thank you for all of the incredible memories," said the restaurant in the post. "We have been so blessed with an amazing staff over the years. We hope that you will join us over the next couple of weeks to give these guys the send-off they deserve." According to its website, Southbound is closed on Mondays, open from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch, open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. for dinner on weeknights and open from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for dinner on weekends.
