Female from Fort Thompson arrested in Pierre over the weekend

A 28 year old female from Fort Thompson was arrested and a child in her vehicle was released to family members after a traffic stop in Pierre over the weekend.
Information from the Pierre Police Department says about 8pm Saturday (Nov. 2, 2024), Patrol Officers were dispatched to a traffic complaint of a vehicle swerving all over the road near the S-curve at the intersection of Wells Ave. and Washington Ave. The vehicle was reportedly traveling east on Wells Ave. and had also run a stop light at the intersection with Harrison Ave. Officers located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Wells Ave. and Grant Ave. The driver was identified as Conner Voice.
While the Officer was speaking with Voice, the Officer smelled the odor of alcohol and had Voice perform field sobriety tests. Voice was ultimately arrested and taken to the Hughes County Jail. A 9-year-old child in the vehicle was released to family members.
Voice is charged with driving without a valid license, DUI 1st, failure to use a seat belt, failure of operator responsible for seabelts on passengers ages 5-18, unsafe lane change, open container in a motor vehicle, and contributing to the abuse or neglect of a child.
