IMPD: 2 arrested after Friday's fatal shooting on near northeast side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS -- Two individuals have been arrested after a Friday evening shooting on the near northeast side of Indianapolis caused the death of 25-year-old Jasper Dugan.
According to a news release from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, 27-year-old Jesse Williams and 22-year-old Royeon Spells were taken into custody in relation to Friday evening's shooting.
IMPD officers were dispatched to the 3600 block of N. Dearborn Street at around 7 p.m. on Friday on a report of shots fired, according to previous reports.
Police later found a man, later identified as Dugan, who was shot in the 3500 block of N. Lasalle Street. Another man was also found at the scene with a "minor laceration injury." IMPD said at the time that Dugan was pronounced dead by medical personnel shortly after they arrived on scene.
Shooting on near northeast side of Indianapolis leaves 1 dead, 1 injured
IMPD homicide detectives investigated the incident and identified two suspects related to it. Williams and Spells were then arrested for the fatal shooting.
The department said that the Marion County Prosecutor's Office will make final charging decisions in relation to this case.
