RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Candidate visits have been frequent across swing states and here in North Carolina, those visits are set to continue right up until Election Day. In a press release Friday, former President Donald Trump's campaign announced he will attend a rally in Raleigh Monday morning at the J.S. Dorton Arena on the state fairgrounds. Trump's campaign website says the event will start at 10 a.m. That is the same time his campaign said he is slated to deliver his remarks. As of 3 p.m. Friday, the campaign has not said what other speakers can be expected at the event. Arena doors will open at 6 a.m. at 4285 Trinity Road in Raleigh. In addition to Trump's upcoming appearance in Raleigh, his running mate, Senator JD Vance, is making an appearance Friday evening in Selma. Sen. J.D. They added, "Harris’ policies are failing North Carolina residents. President Trump is committed to putting money back in their pockets and protecting their futures." In a response to the rally announcement, the Harris campaign said, "Trump is scrambling because North Carolinians across the state are rejecting his extreme Project 2025 agenda." "Trump wants to rip away our fundamental freedoms and raise costs on North Carolina families – but voters are turning out in droves because we’re ready for a new way forward with Vice President Harris, who will make it easier for hardworking people to get by and thrive," the Harris campaign added.
