(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said a motorcycle rider was killed in a crash that happened in southern Colorado Springs on Sunday, Nov. 3. According to CSPD, on Sunday a little before 5 p.m. officers were called to a crash involving a vehicle and motorcycle in the 1900 block of South Monterey Road. When police arrived the rider of the motorcycle was found unresponsive on the scene. Medical responders arrived on the scene but the rider succumbed to his injuries. CSPD's Major Crash Team responded and took over the investigation. Based on initial information and witness statements, CSPD said speed appears to have been a factor in the crash. The investigation is ongoing, and the rider will be identified after the next of kin are notified.
