SAN ANTONIO (WGHP) — Basketball Hall of Famer and San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich has suffered a "health issue" that will sideline him from coaching indefinitely, according to ESPN's Shamas Charania.
Popovich, 75, has coached the Spurs since 1996 and is considered to be one of the greatest basketball coaches of all time.

Popovich was also the head coach of Team USA men's basketball when they won the gold medal in the 2020 Summer Olympics.
The unspecified "health issue" reportedly happened before the Spurs' Saturday contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
He was listed among the Top 15 Coaches in NBA History for the NBA 75th Anniversary Team and has won five NBA championships with San Antonio.
Although San Antonio defeated Minnesota that night, Popovich missed the game due to an undisclosed illness.
