SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Everyone made it out okay after a fire at a home in Springfield on Sunday.
Springfield Fire Department rescued a cat stuck inside a vehicle
According to the Springfield Fire Department, the fire happened around 5:30 p.m. on Bairdcrest Road. The fire started in the back of the home and when they got there, it was quickly spreading.
Fire crews were able to put the fire out and no one was hurt. An investigation revealed that the cause of the fire was the improper disposal of charcoal barbecue briquettes in a trash barrel.
