FEMA: $203 million in disaster assistance provided directly to NC residents

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) - Officials with the Federal Emergency Management Agency said more than 122,000 households in western North Carolina have been approved for disaster assistance money.
The agency said $203 million has been provided directly to homeowners and renters in the state following Hurricane Helene.
FEMA is currently providing hotels for about 3,900 families in western North Carolina.
21 Disaster Recovery Centers are open in North Carolina. All are open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.:
