Six Flags New England offers ghoulish delights for final night of Fright Fest

AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) - Although Halloween is over thousands of people headed to Six Flags New England on Sunday to enjoy one last night of thrills at the amusement park.
Fright Fest is a premiere spooky event that takes place annually and returns every season for Halloween. Dozens of monsters and zombies came out tonight intent giving people one last scare this year.
Sunday also marked the final day the park would be open for the season. The park will re-open in April 2025. Six Flags New England plans to launch a new rollercoaster next spring. It will be their first new ride since 2021.
Those who gathered at the park Sunday wanted to enjoy one last Fright Fest of the year. They were also able to enjoy shows, haunted houses, mazes, and of course the rides.
"Hopefully they'll get a little scared and runaway a little bit, or go through the haunted houses. We'll see how they scream" said Desiree Ortiz of Connecticut.
"Sometimes the monsters spook me out, but at the same time I watch a lot of horror stuff and paranormal investigations, so I feel like I toughen it out," expressed Lyann Folch of Waterbury, CT.
At 6:00 p.m. The Awakening took place. That's when Mayor Slayer calls for all of the park's zombies and monsters to come out.
"I haven't been in so many years," said Jessie Batalon of Johnston, RI. "Ad, I came out with my sisters a few weeks ago and was like i got to come back
