PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island said that its 12th Annual Evening of Wishes Gala raised $370,000 to benefit the organization. Organizers said that the funds will go towards granting the wishes of local children with critical illnesses. Over 350 guests attended the event in Providence, which included Mayor Brett Smiley. In addition, the event honored the late Amanda Choiniere of Cumberland with the inaugural Amanda Choiniere Wish Community Spirit Award to celebrate her role with the organization.
