CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) - Former President Donald Trump was back in North Carolina Saturday, a place he’s not planning to leave for the next couple of days leading to Election Day.
He’s crisscrossing the state in a final push to get votes in the critical swing state.
Trump rallied the crowd at Gastonia Municipal Airport Saturday afternoon, the last day of early voting in the state.
“I’d like to begin by asking a very, very simple question are you better off now than you were four years ago? I don’t think so, I don’t think so, I’ve come today with a message of hope for all Americans. With your vote on Tuesday, I will end inflation, I will stop the invasion of massive numbers of criminals that have come into our country, and I will bring back the American dream,” said Trump.

The former president talked about his plan which he says will bring more energy independence to the United States.
“You know what we’re going to do, we’re going to drill baby drill like you’ve never seen before, and for the people in Pennsylvania we’re going to frack, frack, frack,” said Trump.
The former president claims his policies will help workers.
“We will have no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, and no tax on Social Security benefits for a senior,” he said.
He’s quick to point out the importance of North Carolina in the outcome of the election.
“We win this state, we’re going to win the whole ballgame,” he said to applause from the crowd.
Trump also spoke in Greensboro Saturday night.
He’ll be in Kinston on Sunday and Raleigh on Monday.
