CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A man died in the hospital after a shooting in Uptown on Saturday. Shortly before 10 p.m. officers responded to a shots fired call on South Church Street. Upon arrival officers discovered a male with an apparent gunshot wound. Medic arrived in scene and transported the victim to a nearby hospital with life threatening injuries. The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital. No suspects have been identified at this time. This investigation is active an on going. Check back for updates.
