BISMARCK, N.D. (KXNET) — The Bismarck Fire Department was called to a house fire on the evening of Friday, November 1st.
According to the department, at approximately 10:35 p.m., Central Dakota Communications received a call for a structure fire at a single-family dwelling in the 3200 block of East C Avenue. Upon arriving at the scene, fire crews found smoke coming from the home.

Firefighters quickly gained entry to the building and extinguished the fire. The fire was contained to the room of origin, and smoke damage was present throughout the building. The house was searched, and no occupants were home at the time of the blaze, but one pet was reported to have died.
The cause of the fire currently remains under investigation.
