Reports out of Green Bay indicate the Packers QB Jordan Love will play against Detroit on Sunday despite the groin injury he suffered last week. You’ll want him in what very well could be an offensive battle at Lambeau Field. The news is also good locally as Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson will start his first game since blowing out his knee on Christmas Eve. We could definitely see him getting his first touchdown, too, against the Colts. Seattle will be missing two pass catchers, as both D.K. Metcalf and Noah Fant have been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Rams. Philly tight end Dallas Goedert is also a no-go. And the Bengals’ Zack Moss and Tee Higgins are considered doubtful at the moment. Among the most questionable one day ahead of game time: Rams WR Puka Nacua, Tennessee RB Tony Pollard, Jaguars RB Travis Etienne and rookie wideout Brian Thomas.ORIGINAL POST: 9:00 a.m. Wednesday  We’re now at the official midway point of the NFL season, and one thing is crystal clear: Washington has the league’s No. 1 sensation. Jayden Daniels came to the Commanders with a Heisman Trophy and a sterling resume from his days at LSU. And he has not disappointed, leading Washington to a 6-2 record and first place in the NFC East. He also pulled off the play of the season last Sunday, launching the game-winning, 65-yard Hail Mary pass that stunned the Chicago Bears, and the football world. Despite Daniels’ potential for such magic, fantasy mavens let him pass into the later rounds of their summer drafts. Many of those who took a chance on the rookie quarterback are now leading their leagues. Here are our picks for the most valuable fantasy assets through Week 8:. Quarterback: Jayden Daniels (Commanders): We’re still a bit concerned about his slight build and risk of injury, but you can’t argue with the numbers: 1,736 yards and seven touchdowns through the air, 424 yards and four TDs. on the ground. A rookie of the year shoo-in and a top-three candidate for Most Valuable Player. He has 181 more rushing yards than anyone else and has a shot at being the first player in history to record a second 2,000-yard season. Runners-up: Saquon Barkley (Eagles), Alvin Karmara (Saints), Kyren Williams (Rams). He leads the league with 674 receiving yards and seven TD receptions despite playing for a Cincinnati offense that has stagnated, winning only three of eight games. It has produced an Orange Crush-like 30 sacks, 12 turnovers, two safeties and a pair of defensive touchdowns. Runners-up: Vikings, Bears, 49ers. We especially like Washington’s Brian Robinson vs. the Giants, Patriots’ Rhamondre Stevenson vs. Tennessee and Bears’ D’Andre Swift vs. Arizona. … Speaking of the Cardinals, rookie WR Marvin Harrison Jr. will continue to blossom vs. Chicago. … Houston WR Tank Dell will have a big day against the fading Jets … It won’t be National Tight End Day again, but Chiefs’ Travis Kelce (vs. Bucs) and Packers’ Tucker Kraft (vs. Lions) will be worth celebrating. … Atlanta’s combo of Kirk Cousins and Kyle Pitts will have a big day against Dallas … And it will be Veteran QBs Day, at least for Matthew Stafford against Seattle and Indy’s Joe Flacco against the Vikings. He has 401 yards and four TD passes in the four-plus quarters since the third-string emergency QB came in against Cincinnati. The Browns’ upcoming schedule is not onerous, so it might be worthwhile grabbing a passer who has thrown for 22,531 yards and 145 touchdowns in his 10-year career. And he might help fantasy mavens eat a few W’s along the way.
