The annual Coaches vs. Cancer Breakfast was held at Wannamoisett Country Club in Rumford Friday morning. The four Division I men’s college basketball coaches were in attendance: PC’s Kim English, URI’s Archie Miller, Bryant’s Phil Martelli Jr. & Brown’s Mike Martin. The featured speaker & honoree during the breakfast was Johnston football coach Joe Acciardo, a cancer survivor who battled Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
