MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Police say a man accused of assaulting two women in their beds months apart was arrested Thursday after one of the victims was able to track her stolen cell phone. Investigators said they found Justin Fulton, 33, sleeping inside a maroon Kia UItima in the 4000 block of Baskel Drive about a mile from the woman's apartment. Justin Fulton (SCSO) Officers said they found the woman's phone, ID and numerous IDs and bank cards belonging to other women inside the car. Police said they also found a backpack containing a crowbar and pry bar. According to police, on May 9, Fulton broke into a Parkway Village house and tried to rape a woman. The victim said she was sleeping and felt someone touch her foot. She said Fulton identified himself as a neighbor, demanded sex, and threatened to slit her throat if she said anything. The victim said she began screaming and fighting Fulton, and he punched her and ran out her back door. She later picked Fulton out of a photo line-up. Police said early Halloween morning, Fulton broke into a Whitehaven apartment and attacked a woman. The victim said she woke up and saw a man standing by her bed, exposing himself. She said the man jumped on top of her, told her to stay quiet, and began choking her. The woman said she briefly lost consciousness but was able to yell for her mother, and the man ran out of her room with her cell phone, license, and bank card. Police said Fulton was found sleeping in a car in the 4000 block of Baskel Dr. in Whitehaven Fulton was parked near a family member's home when he was taken into custody. Fulton's mother, who was at the house on Friday, said she didn't believe her son attacked anyone. "The first woman was my former neighbor, and we had an ongoing feud," said Fulton's mother. "I can't speak what happened with the other woman." Fulton was also wanted for allegedly pushing his ex-girlfriend to the ground last month and stealing her cell phone. He is facing charges of aggravated assault, aggravated rape, attempted rape, aggravated burglary, theft of property and possession of burglary tools. Fulton is being held on a $260,000 bond. His mother said she had talked to her son but won't be bailing him out. "He has to take responsibility," she said. Fulton is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
