MPD: Paralegal racked up $5k on attorneys' credit cards for Uber Eats, Instacart and bills

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A paralegal is accused of using her boss's credit cards to make dozens of purchases and pay some of her bills.
Kelly Sewell, 38, is facing charges of theft of property, ID theft and fraud.

According to police, Sewell was employed by the Morton & Germany law firm when she used two attorneys' credit cards without their permission and racked up over $5,000 in charges.
Sewell used one credit card 55 times in three months to make Instacart and Uber Eats purchases and pay her T-Mobile and paralegal bills, police said.

Another victim said Sewell used his Bank of America account and Discovery card to make two cell phone payments totaling over $500. He said he was reimbursed the $500.
Sewell was released from jail on her own recognizance. She is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 15.
