Harris calls on supporters to vote, reconnect with neighbors at Little Chute rally

LITTLE CHUTE, Wis. (WFRV) - With the finish line fast approaching in the race for president, Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign leaders planned major events in each of the crucial BOW counties (Brown, Outagamie, Winnebago) in the closing weeks.
With just days left, it seemed like a trip to Outagamie County might not be in the cards. But that changed when Little Chute High School became the host of Harris' second of three campaign stops in a packed day on the trail in Wisconsin.
Harris campaigned in Janesville, Little Chute and then Milwaukee, imploring supporters to not only get out to vote, but for them to encourage others to do the same while building community.
“This moment I think is really our opportunity to reconnect with people and remind them they’re not alone and build community," Harris said.
“They have two different ideologies, two different," Harris supporter from Little Chute Vickii Tines said. "So I’m just here really for the momentum and adrenaline.”
Democratic Party of Wisconsin chair Ben Wikler believes that a win on Tuesday for Harris will be a unifying force for the country.
“Our politics have been so divided so long," he said. "People are tired of it. Especially in purple Wisconsin, people want to be able to have conversations with their family members who might vote a different way.”
Kaukauna farmer Joe Grundy rolled into Little Chute Friday afternoon to be seen and heard.
“We need [former President Donald Trump] back in [office], for support for the farmers," he said. "Small farmers are dying off, so we need Trump back in [office].”
Harris says that she is here to listen to those against her, too.
“Unlike Donald Trump, I don’t believe that people who disagree with me are the enemy. He wants to put them in jail, I’ll give them a seat at the table," she said. “This election we have an opportunity to finally turn the page on a decade of Donald Trump trying to keep us divided and afraid of each other. We’re done with that.”
Harris left Little Chute for Milwaukee Friday evening, and both she and Trump are focusing on the east coast, Michigan and Pennsylvania in the closing days towards the election.
