NORTH DAKOTA (KXNET) — Technical difficulties in the Lyft app are preventing the download of ND Sober Ride codes, according to an alert sent out by the North Dakota government. These codes were supposed to be active through Saturday, November 2 to discourage driving under the influence on Halloween weekend by offering people $10 off their rides. "The safety of North Dakotans is our top priority. We encourage everyone to plan ahead for a safe holiday weekend. If you need a sober ride this weekend, we recommend considering alternative options such as local taxi services, other ridesharing apps or carpooling with sober friends. We urge everyone to drive sober and plan for a sober ride to ensure a fun and safe celebration this weekend,” said Lauren Wahlman, NDDOT Safety Public Information Program Manager.
