ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — An 84-year-old man died early Friday morning after a crash in the Town of Hopewell. According to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office, Ronald Schanche of Victor failed to yield the right of way to a vehicle in the area of State Route 488 and Freshour Road.
On Halloween, Schanche was driving across State Route 488 on Freshour Road when Tara Curia, 47, had the right of way. His 2013 Chrysler was then hit by Curia, who was driving a 2012 Jeep Wrangler down State Route 488, deputies said.
Schanche was taken to the hospital where he later died following "medical complications" Friday morning.
