Yosemite, Sequoia, and Kings Canyon prepare for winter with closures

YOSEMITE, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Yosemite, Sequoia, and Kings Canyon have issued closures for recreation sites and roadways ahead of expected winter weather.
According to park staff, Cedar Grove in Kings Canyon National Park closed to the public for the season on Monday. The gate is closed just east of Boyden Cavern on Highway 180. Mineral King in Sequoia National Park closed on Wednesday; the gate is closed just below Lookout Point.
In Yosemite National Park, staff say Tioga Road and Glacier Point Road are temporarily closed as of 6 p.m. Friday due to a forecast of snow. Visitors can call 209-372-0200 to check road conditions in the park.
