SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- People wanting to visit the much-anticipated jellyfish exhibit at SeaWorld San Diego will have to wait a little longer.
"Jewels of the Sea: A Jellyfish Experience" is now expected to open next spring, the theme park announced Friday. It was originally scheduled to debut sometime this year.

The upcoming exhibit is promised to feature a variety of jellyfish species in three different galleries as a part of SeaWorld's mission to educate guests about the ocean. It will also come with a 10-foot-tall acrylic archway installation with jellyfish, plus one of the nation's tallest jelly cylinders at 18 feet tall.

Also happening next year, the theme park plans to reinvent "Journey to Atlantis," SeaWorld San Diego's first coaster ride which is currently in its 20th year. The new ride will feature "a refreshed storyline, as well as new water elements and special visual effects," the theme park announced in its press release Friday.
Guests who want to be the first ones to take part in the new experiences are invited to purchase a 2025 SeaWorld Annual Pass now until Monday for a special limited-time offer of up to 20% off.
For the rest of this year, pass members can preview the Christmas Celebration on Nov. 15 and a VIP Animal Night in December.
